Andrew Kirby: Storytelling

Let’s talk

Every organisation has a story.

Some are more than a century old. Others are only just beginning.

Some have transformed communities. Others are quietly changing lives every day.

Every organisation has a story.

The challenge isn't creating one.

It's recognising it.

The strongest organisations aren't remembered because of what they sell. They're remembered because people understand what they stand for, why they exist and the difference they make.

Stories help people make that connection.

Looking beyond the brand

The most meaningful stories are rarely found in marketing plans.

They're found in the conversations people have over coffee. In the memories of long-serving colleagues. In archives, photographs and handwritten notes. In the small moments that reveal an organisation's character.

Whether you're a charity, public sector organisation, family business, heritage organisation or growing company, those stories already exist.

Together, we'll uncover them.

What we can create together

Every organisation is different, but our work often includes:

  • Organisational storytelling and narrative development

  • Company and organisational histories

  • Heritage and anniversary publications

  • Founder stories and leadership profiles

  • Internal communications that strengthen culture and belonging

  • Thought leadership and executive ghostwriting

  • Long-form editorial and magazine-style features

  • Case studies and impact stories

  • Website copy rooted in authenticity

  • Campaign storytelling

  • Community engagement and stakeholder communications

Whatever the format, the aim is always the same:

To create work that people remember because it feels true.

Built on experience

For more than two decades I've worked in senior communications and marketing roles, helping organisations navigate change, communicate clearly and connect with the people they serve.

Alongside that career I've written books, features and long-form journalism, researching complex subjects and turning them into stories that engage readers.

Bringing those two worlds together allows me to combine strategic communications with editorial thinking—understanding not just what an organisation wants to say, but why its story matters in the first place.

Our approach

Every project begins with curiosity.

We take time to understand your organisation, your people and the moments that have shaped you.

We listen.

We ask questions.

We explore archives, documents and memories.

Only then do we begin to write.

The result isn't simply well-written copy.

It's a story that reflects who you are, where you've come from and where you're going next.

Stories that last

Campaigns come and go.

Websites change.

Brands evolve.

But the stories that define an organisation endure.

Whether you're preserving your history, celebrating an anniversary, helping people understand your purpose or giving leaders a voice, our aim is to create something that still feels relevant years from now.

Because the best organisational stories aren't written for the next campaign.

They're written for the next generation.

What story does your organisation have to tell?

Sometimes the hardest part is knowing where to begin.

Let's start with a conversation.

Case Studies

  • Helping the NHS tell the story of digital transformation

  • Capturing the history of a football club

  • Telling the story of a celebrity

  • Helping a charity articulate its purpose

  • Giving senior leaders a voice

  • Telling the story of a rock and roll band
